🐺 Lili, the Dream Devourer

"Speaking of Lili... I've heard a thing or two about their rumors of being one of those beasts. Personally, I haven't seen them turning into one like the rumors. They seem pretty friendly."

Lili, born during the Grieving World era, is a student of Verdantia Academia who's taking literature. Along with their generally pretty friendly reputation, it also came with rumors of them being one of the Behemoths.

Story

Early life stuff

When they were first found as an infant, they started showing signs of being a Behemoth. They're able to transform into a gruesome wolf-like beast under a heavy stress ever since they could remember.

They were the adopted child of a medic who worked with Vi. With their condition that made peers their age intimidated by them, their childhood was quite lonely. Not to mention how they often ended up nearly killing their parent whenever they transformed due to stress, and their parent had to stop them.

Despite Lili's and their parent's not-so-smooth relationship, they cared for each other greatly. Eventually, their parent ended up taking the path of investigating and studying the Behemoths themself, while entrusting Lili to stay with Vi—one of the only people Lili wouldn't be able to kill for sure.

When Lili ended up under Vi's care, they were pretty intimidated by everything surrounding Vi—since they were practically the world's guardian, but they grew to not fear them. Vi, who usually didn't play the role of a caretaker (but had no choice due to the medic being a single parent), eventually remained connected to their humanity due to Lili's presence. Lili ended up developing their interest in literature during their time with Vi.

Once Vi had learned that Lili's parent went missing one day, they officially became Lili's guardian figure. Eventually, Lili attended Verdantia Academia with Vi's support.

Verdantia Academia

Befriended Thodor, got into a life-changing incident that made them lose memories, befriended Thodor again, and befriended Eris and Colta too :D

The Dream Eater

Befriending Thodor meant they eventually caught attention of Thodor's family, who sought to study Behemoths.

Guy with family issues (Thodor) and guy who's a monster (Lili) VS one researcher family. The family conflicts had gotten to the point where Lili was often in danger, to the point of Lili having to retire from Verdantia Academia for their own safety.

Lili then requested Vi to turn them into an entity similar to them—out of their desire to meet Thodor and other friends, and out of their desire to help Vi out. With Lili's missing memory gaps, they couldn't exactly become like Vi, but they eventually settle down at letting Lili exist as an entity who only existed within dreams and memories. To maintain their existence, Vi lets Lili consume other people's dreams and what comes out from unconscious mind.

Lili's Behemoth Situation

For their case, they were first found abandoned in an area with heavy Concentrated Memories, which made them able to turn into a Behemoth at very young age. When they're taken away from the area they were first found, their Behemoth form had developed until the point it's much safer for them to be taken to Verdantia, a big city with heavy protection against any exposure to Concentrated Memories. So that Lili wouldn't be exposed to them and have their Behemoth form be developed any further, they were not allowed to leave the town. So they ended up living in a pretty sheltered life within Verdantia.

For as long as they could remember, Lili often had to prioritize suppressing their Behemoth form. They had slowed their transformation down enough, that they could quickly catch the warning signs if they're at risk of transforming. A lot of the time, they're able to halt/slow down their transformation before their entire body transforms.

Lili's Behemoth form took an appearance akin to a two-headed wolf, with its fangs laced by liquid venom. Its rash behehavior was often assumed to act out of fear, where it mainly bit and maimed what it deemed to be threats upon them. Even if Lili didn't often attack many people in this form, the venom dripping from their fangs could end up dangerous for any living beings getting in contact with it.

With how they were often handled and treated in this form, Lili's Behemoth form eventually ended up heavily scarred. Most of the injuries they had gotten in this form were covered with clothes on their human form, except for their left eye scar.
